Wait...have I read that one already?

Do you keep a list of all the books you've ever read or want to read? We've seen many methods here at the library, from scraps of paper to alphabetical spreadsheets to impressive mental catalogs. If the New Year has you eager to find new ways to organize, how about using some of the great online services that are out there for keeping track of your reading habits?

One we heard about recently is FictFact, a site that lets you track your favorite series. Set up a free profile to get ordered lists of all your series, so that you always know which one to read next. Get notified when an author is releasing a new book, and share your lists with your friends! Another excellent site we often use to determine series order is the KDL What's Next Database, from the Kent District Library. It lets you search for series by title or author, and gives you a great ordered list.
We use Library Thing to post new titles at the library, and you can use it to organize your own collection of titles. Rate and review what you've read, and be social--share your booklists with friends and get recommendations based on your preferences. Another similar site, GoodReads, lets you interact with other readers and even join virtual book clubs.
Here's to another year of enjoyable reading!
