Women's History Month

So many things to celebrate in March: the first hints of spring, St. Patrick's Day...and Women's History Month! Join us at the Main Library on Tuesday, March 22 at 7 PM for a special program, "Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History," to spotlight some intriguing female characters from our past. The historical presentation, put on by Lyn Messersmith, Kay Langin, and Marylin Stratmeyer, will feature stories of Pearl Hart, Baby Doe Tabor, and the women who helped advance the Underground Railroad through secret messages delivered in quilts.

It promises to be an entertaining and informative evening! This program is made possible by the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Call 367-8720 or visit our website for more information.
