Halloween on a Budget

Halloween is still a few weeks away, but it's probably time to get started planning costumes, decorations, party foods, writing a letter to the Great Pumpkin, etc.

If you're looking for an inexpensive way to find new costumes for your kids, the library has got you covered! Take part in our first ever costume swap on October 15 at the Main Library. Just drop off gently used costumes at any Siouxland Libraries branch now through Thursday, October 13. We’ll give you a ticket for every costume you contribute, which you may then exchange for costumes at the swap! Customers with donation tickets may shop on October 15th from 9 to 10 a.m. All others can shop from 10 to 11 a.m.

And if you simply have some old costumes on your hands that need a new home, you are welcome to donate without shopping yourself. Any leftovers will be donated to charity.
